Mural near the river Mural in the Cathedral Quarter Mural, the Duel of Belfast

I went on a walking tour of Belfast that lasted about two and a half hours and covered a lot of major landmarks. (Here’s the one I took.) We started at City Hall and made our way to the main river that runs through Belfast, the River Lagan, which ends up in the harbor. The picture on a left I took at Thanksgiving Square.
Clock tower Queen Victoria built in memorial to her husband Albert Apparently the clock tower is leaning because the second river that runs through Belfast is eroding its foundations City Hall with UVF (unionist) protestors outside Betting house that used to be a pub where the IRA met Big ol fish art next to the River Lagan The city is crossed with “entries,” little side passages between major streets First Presbyterian Church, a major advocate of equal religious and marriage rights; survived bombing by the Nazis Game of Thrones was filmed all over Northern Ireland so Belfast put up a bunch of stained glass tributes around the city Street art is huge here; novices come here to practice There’s a quote on the wall that might not be visible River Lagan River walk by the River Lagan The so-called Spirit of Belfast; a piece of modern art that all the locals call the “Onion Rings”
Sara, you look so at home in these pictures!
Aunt Chris
Sara, the clock tower appears straight in the left pic, but slanted in the next., Is it leaning that much? Wow!
